Rosemary essential oil comes from a green shrub with numerous branches, its bark is ash-colored and scaly with leathery, thick and dark green leaves with white underneath. Its tiny pale blue blossoms abound from December through spring. Its name means ‘dew of the sea’ because Rosemary grows near the Mediterranean Sea. It has been used in the medical field for several thousand years, and its leaves were traditionally burned to purify the air.
